Welcome to the Black Rose Acoustic Society

Ask about acoustic music in the Colorado Springs area, and folks will undoubtedly mention The Black Rose Acoustic Society. Over 30 years ago, several local musicians formed our non-profit organization to actively foster music played on traditional, acoustic instruments and to provide a supportive audience for traditional musicians at all levels. Today, The Black Rose is the home of handmade acoustic music in the Pikes Peak Region.

Our Venue

Twice each month, on second and fourth Fridays, we hold concerts at the Black Forest Community Center just north of Colorado Springs. On these evenings, fans gather to hear wonderful music and to experience the heart-warming ambiance of this intimate, great-sounding, log building.

Nestled in the tall Colorado pines, the down-home atmosphere of our log-cabin style hall provides a family-oriented setting unsurpassed in friendliness and congeniality. We cordially invite you to come, bring your kids, and join the fun!

Our Concerts

Outstanding national and regional musicians regularly grace our stages as feature acts. Our open-stage format also encourages performers at all levels, by providing friendly, supportive audiences in one of the top venues of the region.

Guest musicians rave about our attentive, appreciative audiences. Offer a great tune or a tasty break well played, and you just might experience the "Black Rose Stomp", during which the old, oak floor shakes with a rousing, sustained roar of approval.

Our Awards

The Colorado Springs community voted us the Best Non-Profit Arts Group in our local newspaper's annual contest. KRCC-FM and the Colorado Springs Independent newspaper honored us with their Community Weaver Award for outstanding community service. Come visit us in our intimate little concert hall in the woods, and find out why!
